Ghinwa* age 13

“I can achieve anything I want.”

After fleeing conflict in Syria, and re-settling in Lebanon, 13-year-old Ghinwa missed out on years of school, meaning she was illiterate. She felt hopeless when she thought about her future.

But things are much more positive now. With the help of a Save the Children supported education centre in Beirut, Ghinwa has learned to read and write. Her self-belief has improved and as a member of our Child Rights group, she has her sights set on becoming a human rights lawyer.
