Story Knits is a unique pre-loved knitwear pop-up store where every jumper tells the story of a child helped by Save the Children opening from 1st-7th December in Covent Garden London.  Pre-loved knits generously provided by Beyond Retro.

Hiba* age 12

“When I see our neighbours sewing their tents, I go to help.”

Since fleeing airstrikes six years ago, 12-year-old Hiba and her family live in a single tent in a displacement camp in Syria. Storms have taken their toll on their tent but Hiba is resilient and a talented sewer who takes pride in patching the tent together. She also helps her neighbours with theirs.

Save the Children distributed hygiene kits, shelter and winter kits to families including Hiba’s, to protect them from the rain and cold.
