Rossi and her mum Mariana* fled the economic and social turmoil engulfing Venezuela. Mariana’s shop was looted, forcing her to seek work in Colombia. But while she was away, her home was repeatedly robbed.

They are trying to start again in Peru and cash transfers from Save the Childrenare providing them with the tools to start a small business. Though Rossi lost her guitar in the robbery, she still dreams of becoming a professional singer.
