Story Knits is a unique pre-loved knitwear pop-up store where every jumper tells the story of a child helped by Save the Children opening from 1st-7th December in Covent Garden London.  Pre-loved knits generously provided by Beyond Retro.

Salma age 20 months

“I hope my daughter will become a doctor, to treat other little children just like her.”

Salma was 20 months old when she was directed to the Stabilisation Centre supported by Save the Children in the Somali Region, Ethiopia. Struggling for breath, she was given a feeding tube and put on medication.

After eight days, Salma was sitting up and eating, and five months on, she’s a happy, healthy two-year-old. Her mother, Barey, is overjoyed. She’s telling other women in her village about the free treatment available, so more children can be saved.
