Story Knits is a unique pre-loved knitwear pop-up store where every jumper tells the story of a child helped by Save the Children opening from 1st-7th December in Covent Garden London.  Pre-loved knits generously provided by Beyond Retro.

“It’s good here, warm. The children sleep well.”

Darina, Antin’s mum, is still trying to come to terms with what’s happened to her family. When war broke out in Ukraine, they fled to Romania, where they were staying in a school converted into dorms.

As the locals welcomed the family, Save the Children helped with cash vouchers for food and medicine, and mental health support for 8-year-old Antin. We’ve also provided hot meals, information and legal advice to help them get back on their feet.
