Story Knits is a unique pre-loved knitwear pop-up store where every jumper tells the story of a child helped by Save the Children opening from 1st-7th December in Covent Garden London.  Pre-loved knits generously provided by Beyond Retro.

“When I get educated… I will become a nurse.”

Mariama believes girls’ education is very important. But it’s not always accessible where she lives in Sierra Leone. Early marriage is a problem, and some families can’t afford the essentials.

So since 2017, Save the Children has been supporting Mariama’s school and students. Firstly with uniforms, books and sanitary products, refurbishments and a hand pump so the village has clean water. Then through teacher training – so more children are supported to stay in school and achieve their goals.
