Saada lives with her family in Ethiopia. She was just seven when she stopped a friend from undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM) by warning her family about the risks of infection, blood loss and future effects during childbirth.

Saada learned about the dangers of FGM at her school club – run with the support of Save the Children. Girls and boys learn together about the challenges girls face. Saada says she will tell people FGM is dangerous until everyone understands.
